Join Jai Uttal for an hour of deep sonic restorative mantra & lullaby.

We will chant along with Jai, meditative mantras for a spacious period of time and then rest, while Jai will sing us a lullaby.

Embark on a vocal journey through the sacred sounds of ancient India. With call-and-response group chanting and storytelling, Jai Uttal creates a space of invocation, prayer, and heartfelt expression.

This meditative practice of calling to the divine creates a bridge between the individual and the eternal, opening the heart and welcoming the spirit. By singing these prayers and expressing a full range of emotions through our voices we join a stream of consciousness and devotion that has been flowing for centuries. 

No previous experience is needed. This is an exploration of the heart, independent of vocal or musical technique.

The great love, joy, and sacred light that this season celebrates are found within our own hearts. During our time together, we will use the powerful and sublime blend of chanting and meditation to carry us from the frenzy of “holiday mind” to the ocean of the awakened heart. This uplifting evening will include chanting (call and response) and meditation, and we will conclude with a beautiful candlelight ritual to honor the winter solstice.

Together we’ll experience the nourishment of interconnection as we practice and pray in community for the healing of our world. We’ll also share the innate joy that is uncovered when we collectively chant (and dance, if you feel moved to do so).
