Born in New York City but raised in the Bay Area, Sandy has been an active and versatile vocalist both locally and internationally. As a founding member of the highly acclaimed vocal trio Pastiche, she has toured the U.S. and Japan in support of the group's two CD releases, "That's R & Bebop" and "Remember That". In fall of 2002, Pastiche will release a long-awaited follow up CD.

Sandy's longtime passion for Brazilian jazz has led her to form Homenagem Brasileira, a group that features fresh arrangements of the music of the great Brazilian composers. The A-Records of Holland has received rave reviews from jazz and latin music critics alike, including a 3 1/2 star review in downbeat and feature articles in Latin Beat, JazzNow and JazzTimes.

Sandy has also been active in the world of Salsa as a member of Candela, with whom she has recorded two CDs and has toured Cuba and Asia.
